The Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company is delighted to present Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe, a sparkling comic opera filled with fairies, politicians, romance, and plenty of absurdity.
When a band of fairies collides with the very human world of Parliament, love and loyalty quickly become tangled in rules, rank, and ridiculous expectations. With Gilbert’s sharp satire and Sullivan’s memorable music, Iolanthe remains one of the duo’s most charming and inventive works.
